Tule elk at dusk

Drove out alone after a long week. Sat in the grass for an hour. Got cold enough that I almost left, and then they came close enough that I forgot about the cold.

Did not get the shot I wanted, exactly. But the shot I got is the one I am going to remember the trip by, so maybe that is the same thing.
